What to Expect After an Ant Service

1. Increased Activity (First 2 Weeks)

  • You may notice an uptick in ant activity after the treatment. This is a positive sign—it means that they are being flushed from their hiding spots and being exposed to the product much quicker.

  • The product I applied is not an immediate "knockdown" solution. Instead, it is a residual treatment designed to work over time. Worker ants will be exposed to the product and carry it back to the colony, effectively delivering it to the queen and her eggs. This ensures a thorough and permanent eradication.

2. Timeline of Results

  • 2 Weeks (4 in cold weather): You may still be seeing ants sporadically.

  • 4-6 Weeks (6-8 in cold weather): The infestation will be fully resolved.

  • Note: In cases of heavy infestations, these timelines may extend slightly.

3. Cleaning & Prevention

  • Clean Up Stragglers: After treatment you can clean eating surfaces and rid them of any ants you see. We don’t want them around your food areas, however, we want them to be able to roam freely everywhere else so that they can transfer the products back to the colony as we discussed above.

  • Eliminate Food & Water Sources: dirty dishes in sink, food & spilled liquid on counters, candy wrappers or snack remnants in bedrooms, bird seed & pet food stored in the pantry, garage, or basement, pet food & water bowls, etc.
